Miranda meets a boy in a Big Bruiser Punk Zombie Teen Costume

Big Bruiser Punk Zombie Teen CostumeMiranda tried hard not to be afraid when she saw the boy in the Big Bruiser Punk Zombie Teen Costume. She had just been terrified of zombies for what seemed like her entire life.

Not that she was that old, she was only 17. But she could still remember the exact day, time and exactly what was going on when her zombie phobia started.

She was 13 years old that Halloween and actually able to stay up after trick or treat and watch horror movies with her older brother and sister for the first time ever. She wasn’t allowed to watch horror movies or stay up that late before that year. Her parents felt that her imagination was too great and that things like zombies in Big Bruiser Punk Zombie Teen Costumes would scare her.

Turns out they couldn’t have been more right. She was fine throughout the Friday the 13th movies and she did great with Nightmare on Elm St. On top of that she absolutely loved all of the Halloween movies.

Then her brother had put in a zombie movie while she and her sister were making popcorn and hot cocoa. Miranda could still remember the sound of the wind whistling around their cozy brick house as she walked back into the living room with the full bowl of popcorn. Her sister was behind her with the tray with mugs of hot chocolate on them. She could still picture the steam rising off of the whipped cream on the mugs.

She had just sat the popcorn on the coffee table when she looked up and there was a graveyard on the TV screen. A big biker type dude in a Big Bruiser Punk Zombie Teen Costume was chasing a blond girl in high heels across the graves. Suddenly another zombie popped up in front of her ripping her head off. That Miranda could handle. She had seen that in the other movies. It was when he took out her intestines and started eating them that Miranda bailed. She took her popcorn and cocoa and went to watch Hocus Pocus in her bedroom pleading a headache when her brother asked her why she was leaving.

That night she dreamed over and over again about a boy in a Big Bruiser Punk Zombie Teen Costume reaching for her long red hair out of the darkness. She had been having the same dream for 4 years now and was no closer to getting over her fear of zombies than she had been that night.

She didn’t watch zombie horror movies at all and had agreed to come to this party under duress knowing there would be people dressed as zombies when she got here. Now her worst nightmare was standing in front of her. She took a deep breath, got herself a cup of punch that she knew was spiked and headed over to confront the boy in the Big Bruiser Punk Zombie Teen Costume and face her fears.
